As part of the strategic collaboration with the Embassy of Japan, a special Shamisen concert will be held during the Congress opening week (Japanese Ambassador's Cup / Rapid Tournament), together with a speech by the Japanese Ambassador and the award ceremony. The artists are being brought directly from London by the Embassy of Japan.

Based in the UK since 2003, Akari Mochizuki (known as Mochi) is a passionate performer and cultural bridge between Japan and the world. After studying drama in Cambridge and contemporary music in London, she began performing enka in 2009 at London's Cocoro restaurant, later becoming one of the leading voices introducing traditional Japanese music to global audiences. She has appeared on major TV Tokyo programmes, performed at events such as HYPER JAPAN, WOMAD, and the British Museum, and featured on BBC Radio. With performances in over 21 countries, Akari captivates audiences as a bilingual MC and ambassador for Japanese culture. Appointed Nike's "DUNK" brand ambassador in 2021 and local coordinator for the 2025 Grand Sumo London Tournament at the Royal Albert Hall, she continues to inspire through music, interpretation, and international collaboration.
